JOJO's Story

My mom “Jojo” has always been an inspiration to me. She was radiantly positive and happy no matter what challenges came her way, so when diagnosed with breast cancer she faced it head-on with a smile.

Dedicated to living as healthy as possible, she went to work in the kitchen perfecting a delicious, low-sugar, guilt-free chocolate snack that satisfied her sugar cravings.

Jojo’s sweet mission lives on to this day, and I’m proud to share her wonderful creation with you that’s as delightful as she was!

Her options were limited, buy from the candy aisle and feel guilty, or deprive herself of chocolate, which either left her unsatisfied or would lead to binging later on! We believe you shouldn’t feel guilty for enjoying the food you love (and that includes chocolate). We don’t believe in depriving ourselves. We do believe focusing on what we can have empowers us to make healthier choices! Yes, JOJO’s is low-sugar, low-carb, simple & clean ingredients, NON-GMO, Gluten-Free, Lactose-Free, and Soy-Free. Antioxidants are the compounds that are believed to neutralize free radicals and protect the body from their damage.  Dark chocolate lessens cravings for sweet, salty, and fatty foods.  "Numerous studies show dark chocolate increases blood flow to the heart" German study  

A study published in 2015 found that not only did dark chocolate lower the blood pressure of the hypertensive diabetics, but it also decreased fasting blood sugar. (1)
